ABOUT THE AUTHOR: Philip Schultz is the author of six collections of poetry, including Like Wings, which was nominated for the National Book Award. His work has been published in numerous magazines, including The New Yorker, Partisan Review, The New Republic, and The Paris Review. He has received awards from the American Academy & Institute of Arts and Letters and the Academy of American Poets, as well as the Levinson Prize from Poetry magazine. He is also the recipient of fellowships from the Guggenheim Foundation and the National Endowment for the Arts. He is the founder of the Writers Studio in New York City.
